About the Figure-8 Barn

Situated on the grounds of Delaware’s magnificent Bellevue State Park, the Figure 8 Barn is part of what was once a duPont family estate.

The Figure 8 Barn, with its unique hour glass shape, was built by William duPont, Jr. as an indoor horse training facility to further complement his family’s equestrian interests. The estate was purchased by the State of Delaware in 1976.

The Figure 8 Barn provides a unique venue for fundraisers, receptions and other large functions. Both the stage and raised dance floor can be surrounded by tables for dining or can accommodate large conference formats. This rustic setting can be ideal for casual gatherings or transformed to house a vast tradeshow or function.

The Figure 8 Barn is easily accessible from I-95 and is within 30 minutes driving distance from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and two hours from New York City and Washington, D.C
